Free online bank statement converter for CSV and Excel

This free online bank statement converter turns PDF statements and scanned page images into structured transaction rows. Download an editable CSV for Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, bookkeeping imports, cash-flow analysis, or bank reconciliation. The file includes dates, descriptions, references, debit and credit amounts, running balances, currency, and source-page references.

How to convert a bank statement PDF to CSV

  1. Upload one bank statement PDF or a set of ordered JPG, PNG, or WebP pages.
  2. Your browser renders PDF pages and resizes large images locally.
  3. The converter reads the visible transaction table and validates the structured result.
  4. Review every row, correct uncertain values, and download an Excel-compatible UTF-8 CSV.

Convert bank statement PDF files to Excel-ready data

The download uses CSV because it is portable, transparent, and supported by the major spreadsheet and accounting applications. Open the file directly in Excel, then save it as XLSX when a native Excel workbook is required. Keeping the first export as CSV also makes it easier to inspect columns before importing transactions into accounting software.

Supported bank statement formats and languages

Upload a PDF of up to 20 pages or ordered JPG, PNG, and WebP images. The converter supports Arabic, English, and bilingual bank statements, including descriptions that mix Arabic and Latin characters. It is designed around visible transaction tables rather than a specific bank, so it can work with many Saudi and international statement layouts.

Digital PDFs usually produce the clearest output. For scanned statements, use straight, high-resolution pages with readable dates, amounts, and column headings. Remove passwords from protected PDFs before uploading, and avoid cropped pages that hide balance or debit and credit columns.

Important data-flow note. Qeemah does not receive or store the uploaded statement. PDF preparation happens in your browser, but prepared page images leave your device for automated extraction. Process a statement only when you are authorized to handle its financial data.

Bank statement CSV columns and manual review

The exported file keeps debit and credit in separate columns rather than guessing a signed amount. Decimal values are preserved as text from the extraction, and ambiguous cells receive a review note instead of a fabricated value. The source-page column helps you compare each row with the original statement.

Check opening and closing balances, transaction signs, dates around month boundaries, Arabic and English numerals, and descriptions split across lines. A clean-looking result can still contain recognition errors, especially on compressed scans or complex layouts.

From statement conversion to accounting

CSV conversion prepares data; it does not post journals, classify transactions, or complete reconciliation. A proper reconciliation workflow matches bank movements with receipts, supplier payments, transfers, fees, and other ledger entries while documenting unresolved differences. Bank statement converter FAQ

What bank statement formats can I convert?

You can upload one PDF or up to 20 ordered JPG, PNG, or WebP images. Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before upload.

What columns are included in the CSV?

The export includes date, description, reference, debit, credit, balance, currency, source page, and a review note. Values remain editable before download.

Does Qeemah store my bank statement?

No. PDF rendering and image preparation happen in your browser. Prepared page images leave your device for automated extraction, but they are not uploaded to or stored by Qeemah.

Can it read Arabic bank statements?

Yes. The converter can extract Arabic and English statements, including mixed-language descriptions. Always review dates, signs, balances, and unclear scans before using the CSV.

Is the converted statement guaranteed to be accurate?

No. Automated extraction is a review aid, not accounting evidence. Scan quality, unusual layouts, handwriting, and overlapping stamps can cause errors. Compare the result with the original statement.

Can I convert a bank statement PDF to Excel?

Yes. Convert the PDF to CSV, review the extracted transactions, and open the downloaded UTF-8 CSV in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers, or another spreadsheet application.

Is this bank statement converter free?

Yes. The online converter is free to use and does not require a Qeemah account. Shared processing capacity may temporarily limit availability during busy periods.

Does the converter work with scanned bank statements?

It can process clear scanned PDFs and JPG, PNG, or WebP page images. Straight, high-resolution scans with visible table columns produce the best results.
